I am a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (RYT-200). I teach classes in gentle hatha yoga, restorative yoga, and yin yoga. I often incorporate gentle yoga in my mindfulness group offerings as well. I offer individual and small group private yoga and mindfulness instruction, and teach corporate and school yoga classes.
For me, yoga is a practice in mindfulness, as this is how I have learned it. My classes are enveloped in the attitudes of mindfulness and heartfulness, and include asana (the physical stretches and postures), pranayama (breathwork), as well as practices in mindfulness meditation.
Whether teaching a group or teaching privately, my intention is to provide a supportive and inclusive space that allows for the three R’s: reconnecting with oneself, rebalancing on all levels, and recognizing one’s inherent wholeness. I try to meet individuals where they are and support them in their goals as we learn together alongside. I endeavour to assist others in cultivating a sustainable practice of mindfulness and yoga, both on and off the mat/cushion. My mission is to empower people to get to know themselves (their bodies, minds, hearts and spirits) more intimately, and to cultivate a kinder and more compassionate relationship with themselves, and consequently with others and the earth.
My classes are always inclusive, trauma-sensitive, and accessible to all, including beginner yogis and meditators. Modifications are always provided/suggested but each student is encouraged and supported to find what works best for them.
My yoga training to date includes:
- Completion of 250-hour RYT-200 Hatha yoga teacher training (2015 through Moksana Yoga Center, Victoria, BC)

Yoga and Mindfulness for Emotional healing (6-week series)
at the Victoria West Community Centre
This series of six 90-minute classes will consist of gentle therapeutic yoga and mindfulness meditation practices to support healing, mental health and emotional wellbeing. Each class will consist of a yoga practice, a mindfulness meditation practice that you will get to practice during the week, and some discussion. This series is taught from a trauma-sensitive framework and is suitable for all levels.
Restorative Yoga (6-week series)
at the Victoria West Community Centre
Restorative yoga is a gentle and quiet practice intended to restore and rebalance the body, mind and soul. Props are used to allow the body to settle into tension-relieving poses, allowing the body to rest, heal and regenerate itself. This series of six 75-minute classes is beginner friendly and suitable for all levels. Restorative yoga is particularly helpful for anyone experiencing stress, burnout, fatigue, or illness.
