Hello friends! I hope this finds you well 🙂 I also hope that you are having a wonderful summer and enjoying the beautiful summer weather! It’s hard to believe it’s already August. Now summer is truly starting to feel like it’s flying.
I am doing well, it has been a busy summer. It’s so lovely to have the opportunity to have a slower-paced schedule — even if you don’t have a full vacation, little things like nature hikes, day trips, time with family, etc — make it so nice and slow down the summer! After all, we can enjoy whatever time we have remaining of the lovely long summer days and beautiful sunsets 🙂
So for this post I actually decided to publish a talk I had given back in April at a local high school as part of their inaugural Wellness Event for families. I was invited as a keynote speaker and spoke about the topic of Teen mental health and wellbeing.
I had never intended to publish this talk — but it has been requested a few times by some of the people who I had the good fortune of meeting that day, who suggested that I publish it on a blog — so after much consideration I have decided to publish it!
It is also a trial run for a future podcast series that I would like to do. I am not tech savvy so this is all a huge learning curve.
I hope you enjoy this talk and would really love to know your thoughts! I know that I really enjoyed some of the conversations that I had with youth and parents that evening, following the talk. Of course, please feel free to share with anyone who may be interested/benefit.
(P.S. The audio is kind of faint and so you have to turn up your volume. Hopefully it works and you can still hear it!)
